THE HISTORY OF FERGHANA CRAFTSMANSHIP

The well-known historian and geograph of the  X century al-Istarakhiy wrote in his book “Kitob masolik l-mamolik”  (The book about countries’ roads) that “Ferghana was wide, rich and influential region” Like other regions of ctntrak Asia Ferghana occupied by the Arabs in VII century from that time the Moslem world of Ferghana becamt the furthesn eastern base of tyt medieval Moslem culture.

In the IX-X centuries FTrghana was ruled by Somoniys and it has developed and densely populated cities and villages. The coins which were found there will be clearly example for the prestige of Ferghana at that time. The coins which were minted in the ead city Aksikat, also in Kubo, Nasrobod and other cities have been kept to our days. Craftsmanship was developed.
